The prices of iron and electrical wires will rise in Saudi Arabia during December 2025
The General Authority for Statistics reported a variation in the prices of construction goods during the month of December 2025 compared to the previous month of November, as iron prices witnessed varying increases ranging from 0.2% to 0.8%, while the prices of cables and electrical wires increased in general.
Rise in iron prices in Saudi Arabia
According to the bulletin of average prices of goods and services for the month of December 2025, issued by the Statistics Authority, the price of a ton of Reinforcing steel (6 mm national) increased by 0.6% to record 3971.5 riyals per ton in December, compared to 3948.1 riyals per ton in the previous November.
The price of iron (8 mm national) rose slightly by 0.2% to 2633.8 riyals per ton compared to 2627.9 riyals in the previous month. The price of a ton (10 mm) also rose by 0.4% to 2676.5 per ton in December, compared to 2666.7 riyals per ton in the previous November.
The prices of rebar (diameters 14, 16, 18 mm) witnessed an increase of 0.8% for each of them during December compared to the previous month, while the price of iron binding cables (10 kg) decreased slightly by 0.2% to 46.2 riyals compared to 46.4 riyals in the previous month.
Electrical wire and cable prices
Prices witnessed Electrical wires of all diameters increased by rates ranging between 1.8% and 3.3%. The price of electrical wires (2.5 mm national, 1 meter long) increased by 2.5% from 1.2 riyals to 1.3 riyals during December.
The price of wires (4 mm) also increased by 2.8% to 1.8 riyals per meter, wires (6 mm) by 3.3% to 2.8 riyals, and wires (10 mm) by 2.3% to 23.1 riyals.
As for wires of diameter 25 mm and up to 300 mm, it increased by noticeable percentages ranging from 1.8% to 2.4%.
Wood and Aluminum
The price of aluminum (8.5 m Saudi side ring) rose by 0.4% to 91.8 riyals in December compared to 91.4 riyals in the previous November, and Chilean wood rose by 1.8% to 1538.1 riyals per cubic meter in December compared to 1510.5 in the previous month.
The price of African teak wood increased by 0.2% at 6789.4 riyals per cubic meter, while Indonesian plywood fell by 0.3% to record 3060.7 riyals per cubic meter in December, and the price of coal remained unchanged at 11.1 riyals per kilo.
