ADNEC is hosting "Programming and cybersecurity challenges" Within my exhibition activities "UMEX" and"Semtex "

Abu Dhabi, January 18 / WAM / The ADNEC Group, in cooperation with the EDGE Group and in coordination with the Ministry of Defence, is hosting programming and cybersecurity challenges within the activities of the Unmanned Systems (UMEX) and Simulation and Training (SIMTEX) 2026 exhibitions.
These challenges will be held at the Ministry of Defense’s pavilion during the two exhibitions, which will be held from January 20 to 22 at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, and highlight the commitment of the Ministry and the EDGE Group to provide quality platforms that contribute to accelerating the discovery, nurturing and celebration of Emirati talent.
As part of the programming challenge, UAE citizens can register directly at the Ministry of Defense pavilion, where their programming skills will be tested through quick and intense sessions designed to challenge participants of different levels of experience and skill.
In parallel, a competitive challenge will be organized in the field of cybersecurity, giving participants the opportunity to test their abilities within realistic systems penetration scenarios, including a “capture the flag” competition, and real scenarios for cyberattacks and defenses, in addition to the areas of ethical hacking, penetration testing, and security vulnerability analysis.
These challenges aim to enhance national security readiness and support the UAE’s move towards a knowledge-based economy, by developing the skills of the next generation of programmers, software developers, cybersecurity specialists, and engineers of national caliber.
These initiatives are in line with the “50 Principles” launched by the UAE government, which affirm that human capital and highly skilled national capabilities represent major drivers of future growth.
These challenges reflect the depth of the growing partnership between the EDGE Group and the Ministry of Defense, which aims to accelerate the development of the country’s defense industries by investing in highly qualified national talent.
Emirati citizens wishing to participate in the Cybersecurity Challenge are encouraged to register via email: modchallenge@edgegroup.ae
