Cooperation between Dubai and Municipal Police in the investigation of public safety accidents

The General Command of Dubai Police signed an agreement with the Dubai Municipality in the field of investigating public and professional safety accidents, in order to enhance cooperation between the two sides, in line with the directions of the Dubai government in promoting community safety and preserving lives and property.
The agreement was signed by Dubai Police, Director of the General Administration of Administrative Affairs, Brigadier Mansour Youssef Al -Qarqawi, while the municipality was signed by the Acting Director of the Environment, Health and Safety Corporation, Dr. Naseem Mohamed Rafi.
The agreement aims to determine the roles and responsibilities of each party when related accidents occur, and to ensure the speed of response and effective investigation, as well as setting mechanisms to exchange information, reports and field coordination in order to achieve the highest quality and safety standards.
According to the agreement, the Dubai Police General Command will secure and report accident sites within four hours of its monitoring, in addition to providing the testimonies and documents required to support the investigations, while the Dubai Municipality will respond within 24 hours of accident sites within the scope of its competence, and to provide the necessary technical experience to investigate the accidents and evaluate the situation.
Brigadier Mansour Youssef Al -Qarqawi said: “This agreement comes within the framework of the Dubai Police’s keenness to enhance its partnerships with government agencies, and to unify efforts to ensure a safe and sustainable environment.”
He added that «cooperation with the Dubai Municipality in the field of investigation with public safety accidents reflects our commitment to enhance the speed of response and the quality of investigations in a manner that preserves lives and preserves property».
For her part, Dr. Naseem Mohamed Rafii stressed that the agreement represents a strategic step to support Dubai’s efforts in the field of occupational safety and health.
She said: «We work alongside the Dubai Police General Command to develop response mechanisms and investigation into accidents, and we are keen in the municipality to develop and apply the best public and professional safety standards, in a way that enhances the efficiency and sustainability of the public safety system, and establishes Dubai’s position as a leading city in applying the highest standards of security and safety.
