“Red Carpet” at Dubai Airport ends travel procedures in 6 seconds and without documents .. video

The General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, in cooperation with Dubai airports, launched the “Red Carpet” corridor at Dubai International Airport, as the first of its kind in the world that allows travelers to pass passport procedures within a few seconds and without the need to highlight any travel documents, with the possibility of processing up to ten travelers at the same time via the smart corridor.

The corridor relies on artificial intelligence systems and biological identification, as it processes data in advance to ensure the identity of travelers, and the transit process is carried out without stopping or highlighting documents, while transferring special cases for manual review, in order to maintain the highest safety standards.

It is estimated that the new corridor completes the transit process in a time ranging from 6 to 14 seconds for each traveler, and at a rate of ten people together, compared to the traditional methods that treat one traveler at a time, which reduces the waiting time and enhances the airport’s capacity.

The launch of the “red carpet” comes within the efforts of Dubai to strengthen its pioneering site in the field of smart travel, and to consolidate the position of Dubai International Airport as the most crowded international airports in international flights for the eleventh year in a row, reflecting the emirate’s commitment to innovation and adopting the latest technologies to serve travelers.
