The unemployment rate in Austria increased to 7.0% by the end of August

Vienna on September 1/ WAM/ The unemployment rate in Austria increased to 7.0% at the end of last August, an increase of 4.2% on an annual basis, affected by several factors, most notably the continued tension of the economic environment and the uncertainty of international and regional reasons.

The number of unemployed was 14,864 to 367,120 people. Factors such as the constant uncertainty resulting from the US tariff policy and slight growth in the German market are overwhelmed by the local economy.

And the updated labor market data in Austria showed the continued impact of weak economic performance and the high rate of inflation on jobs and the labor market, and Petra Draxel, responsible for the Board of Labor offices, said, “The current economic conditions do not indicate a reflection in the direction of the labor market.”
