Al -Murrar heads the UAE delegation participating in the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council in its 165th session

Kuwait on September 2/ WAM/ His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al -Murr, Minister of State, head of the United Arab Emirates delegation participating in the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, chaired in its 165th session, which was held today in the sisterly state of Kuwait.
A final statement was issued by the meeting that included a review of the latest developments in regional and global political issues and the position of the GCC states on issues of common concern, in addition to emphasizing the fixed position of the Cooperation Council regarding the rejection of the Iranian occupation of the three islands of the United Arab Emirates: Greater Tunb, the Minor and Abu Mossi.
The statement also pointed out the importance of strengthening the countries of the Cooperation Council for partnerships with countries and active groups at the international level, and to the continuation of dialogues and the development of strategic relations between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the countries and regional and international organizations.
In a related context, His Highnesses and Excellencies held the second joint ministerial meeting between the Cooperation Council and Japan, where a number of files of common concern and ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination were discussed in various fields.

The joint action plan was approved between the Cooperation Council and Japan for the period 2024-2028 and assigned the General Secretariat of the Council to follow up its implementation.
