The Emirates Writers Union discusses "The role of literature in enhancing the values of tolerance and coexistence "
Abu Dhabi, September 2 / WAM / The UAE Writers and Writers Union organized yesterday, at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, a dialogue session entitled “The role of literature in promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence in society” in the framework of the cultural season for the current year.
The writer and journalist Rifaat Ismail Bou Assaf, author of the book “Tolerance in the Emirates … a new and illuminated biography of human brotherhood … testimonies and stories of her other hero”, participated in the presence of a number of writers, intellectuals and interested, managed by Sheikha Al -Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Rifaat Abu Assaf discussed during the session the values of tolerance pursued by the policy of the United Arab Emirates at all levels, stressing that the contents of the culture, its fields and its manifestations in the state embodies a model image of the intersection and communication of civilizations and the feelings and destinies common to peoples.
The writer also talked during the session, about the cultural act in the UAE and provided it with the contents of tolerance, and this is represented in its tolerant products in its nature and symbols, and stated that the UAE has leaders who love culture and believers of its value and embody the best sets and beacons in the cultural field, and that the role of its creative children is citizens and residents who belong to many cultures and nationalities, which constitute the highest stages of homogeneity Community and cultural among peoples.
He emphasized the great media role in the UAE and the efforts and policies it adopts to fortify the media environment by controlling and organizing traditional media work mechanisms and practices, across the digital space and communication sites, with laws that guarantee not to prejudice the values of society and promote coexistence and human harmony.
