The UAE participates in the second Gulf housing conference in Kuwait

Kuwait, September 4/ WAM/ The UAE participated in an official delegation headed by His Excellency Eng. Mohamed Al Mansoori, Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, in the work of the second Gulf housing conference, organized by the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States in the State of Kuwait and its activities were launched yesterday with the participation of senior officials, experts and specialists in the housing and urban development sector from various countries of the Council.
During the two -day conference, the participants discussed the most prominent future trends in developing sustainable housing projects, and the latest global practices in this field.
The director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program participated in a specialized dialogue session entitled: “Sustainable housing models in the countries of the Cooperation Council”, which dealt with multiple axes, including the employment of smart technology in housing projects, the promotion of partnerships between the government and private sectors, and the review of policies and legislation supporting to build integrated urban societies.
During the session, it was emphasized the importance of establishing a joint Gulf cognitive platform to exchange data and experiments, in a way that enhances Gulf integration in the housing sector, and contributes to supporting social stability and raising the quality of life for the citizens of the GCC states.
His Excellency stressed that the UAE leadership attaches great importance to supporting and enhancing the process of joint Gulf action in various fields, especially in the housing sector, which represents a pivotal pillar to achieve social stability and enhance the paths of sustainable development.
He praised the advanced steps achieved by the Gulf cooperation in this vital sector, stressing the UAE aspect of continuing effective coordination and supporting joint initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of life, and promoting integrated urban development in a way that meets the aspirations of the citizens of the GCC countries.
He added that the Gulf cooperation in the housing sector represents an essential pillar to enhance the stability of the Gulf family, and to build an integrated residential environment that achieves social security and supports the aspirations of sustainable development in the GCC countries.
His Excellency explained that the UAE represents an advanced model in the field of sustainable housing, as it succeeded in developing modern projects that depend on smart solutions and environmentally friendly designs, in line with the targets of the vision of the UAE 2031, pointing out that the UAE believes that sustainability is a necessity and not an option, and works alongside the brothers in the Cooperation Council to enhance Gulf integration, and develop common solutions that achieve the citizen’s well -being Gulf.
He said that the UAE has made qualitative achievements in the field of housing, which was to provide thousands of modern housing for citizens, and to adopt innovative models that take into account energy efficiency and sustainability, which made the state at the forefront of global indicators in the field of quality of life and planning urban societies.
His Excellency highlighted the Emirati experience in the field of housing, noting that the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program represents a pioneering model at the region level, with its qualitative achievements since its foundation, as it was able to meet the needs of thousands of citizen families by providing modern housing that meets their requirements, and contributes to enhancing their social stability and raising their well -being and quality of their life.
