The UAE calls for a mobilization of international support to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and strengthen the peace path

The UAE stressed the importance of mobilizing international support to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and demand its immediate stopping, and to provide urgent humanitarian aid without obstacles, in addition to stopping the deterioration in the West Bank and Jerusalem situation and facing illegal Israeli practices and the settlers and extremists.

His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al -Murr, Minister of State, said in his speech during the opening session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which the UAE chairs its work, that the UAE participated in the conference of the two -state solution held in New York headed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France, and joined the announcement issued by it, stressing that the resulting document represents a road map towards embodying the independent Palestinian state.

He added that the announcement of French President Emmanuel Macron is his intention to recognize the State of Palestine before the United Nations General Assembly next month constitutes an important incentive to support the fair and comprehensive peace path and put an end to a tragic separation from the history of the Middle East, calling for intensifying international pressure to return to the negotiating table between the Palestinians led by the Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel to reach a just and sustainable solution.

With regard to the three UAE islands occupied by Iran (Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa), Al -Murre renewed the UAE’s adherence to resolving the case through direct bilateral negotiations or resorting to the International Court of Justice.

In his speech, His Excellency dealt with the regional political files, stressing the continued efforts of the UAE in supporting Sudan to address the consequences of the civil war and return it to the path of democratic transformation, and its position in support of the efforts of the Syrian people within the framework of the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in supporting the Yemeni people and alleviating its suffering and stressed the UAE’s welcome to the decision of the Lebanese government to restrict weapons in the hands of the state, considering that this step enhances internal stability.

Al -Murar stressed that humanitarian actions occupy a pivotal position in the foreign policy of the UAE, noting that the fight against extremism and terrorism and the promotion of the values ​​of tolerance represents basic features of the Emirati approach to serve all of humanity and stressed the importance of unifying the narrative of peace, rejecting violence and supporting regional stability through humanitarian and diplomatic efforts.

His Excellency stressed the importance of maximizing the joint Arab economic effort and prevailing in diplomacy in addressing differences between Arab countries, noting that the meeting is held in a “extremely dangerous moment in the region” that requires strengthening joint Arab cooperation.

He touched on the development of partnerships in the fields of climate, energy, artificial intelligence and education, stressing that the UAE adopted an advanced approach in the green economy and clean energy in a way that enhances the achievement of sustainable development.
