Trump reduces customs duties on Japanese cars to 15 percent

Washington on September 5 / WAM / US President Donald Trump today signed an executive order that he reduced customs duties on Japanese cars to 15%, in implementation of a commercial agreement concluded by Washington with Tokyo.

According to the executive order, Japanese cars will be imposed on customs duties of 15% instead of 27.5% currently, and the American customs duties roof will be determined on many other Japanese commodities by 15%. These new percentages will be included in the implementation within seven days of the publication of the decision in the American Official Gazette.
