I earned the bet in front of my friend Khreibin .. I gave him my jungle

The national team goalkeeper Hamad Al-Maqbali, on his promise, fulfilled his gift that he wore during his guard, “Al-Abyad”, to his friend, Syrian striker Omar Khreibin, in a bet that gathered both former colleagues in Al-Ahly Youth Club, before the whistle of the beginning of the friendly match that the team won (3-1), the day before yesterday, at the Zabeel Stadium in Dubai.

Al -Maqbali told «Emirates Today»: “A strong and old friendship links me with the striker of Al -Wahda and the Syrian national team, Omar Khreibin, during the friendly conversation that took place between us before the start of the match, to hold a bet that I will not allow (Abu Hamza) to score in the team’s goal.”

He explained: «After the match, I was keen to meet my friend Khreibin, and to give him my junior, which I wore, to remind him of the talk that took place between us before the beginning whistle, and also obtained the shirt that Khreibin wore with the Syrian team in the match.

Regarding the team’s performance in front of its Syrian counterpart, Al -Maqbali said: “Al -Abyad’s performance is constantly improving with Cosmin, and at the end of the meeting we got the desired result, and to perform the tactics that the coach requested from us, which he put over the past week.”

He added: “I thank the coach for my opportunity, and Kozen on the personal level I consider it as the brother and the great coach, and he has a distinguished personality in his ability to wrap all the players around him, with the aim of achieving the aspirations of the team and making the fans happy to go away in this group.”

He concluded: “We succeeded in the second half in front of Syria in showing the tactics that asked us, after a first half that was less than expected, because of the weather worker, and thank God for the result of the victory, and our aspirations are great to continue achieving the goal we aspire to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.”
