“Knightsbridge” is Godolphin’s hope in the “Metropolitan Handicap”

The horse “Knightsbridge” carries the hopes of the “Godolphin” team to win the title of the “Metropolitan Handicap” race dedicated to purebred hybrid horses of the first category, “Group 1”, for a distance of 1,600 meters on sand, and is taking place today on the famous American “Saratoga” track.

Knightsbridge, under the supervision of trainer Bill Mott, in his 10th participation in the world of racing, aspires to achieve the seventh victory in his career, and his first in the highest-ranking “Group 1” races in the world, especially since the five-year-old horse, last month, had his first experience in “Group 1” races, by finishing sixth in the “Churchill Downs Stakes” race.

Michael Banahan, director of racing horse production at Godolphin in America, commented on Knightsbridge’s preparations, saying in press statements: “Knightsbridge enters the Saratoga race hoping to regain its level,” adding: “The horse has returned from its last participation at Churchill Downs in good condition, and has recently undergone very fast training and exercises, and we hope that it will be able to show its capabilities in its new race.”
