In front of Abdullah bin Zayed/ a batch of new diplomats taking the legal oath
ABU DHABI, June 6, 2017 – A new batch of diplomats took the legal oath before His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry’s General Office in Abu Dhabi.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, His Excellency Khalifa bin Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, His Excellency Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, His Excellency Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State, His Excellency Omar Obaid Al Hasan Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sultan Muhammad Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations Affairs, and His Excellency Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Science and Advanced Technology, His Excellency Salem bin Gavan Al Jabri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Military and Security Affairs, and His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Mohammed Al Bulooki, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Affairs, His Excellency Faisal Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs, and His Excellency Saif Abdullah Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs, along with a number of department directors and officials in the ministry.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated the 29 new diplomats, both male and female, wishing them success and excellence in performing their future tasks and responsibilities.
His Highness expressed his confidence in the young national talents newly joining the diplomatic corps, stressing the importance of the role they play in enhancing the country’s distinguished reputation globally, enhancing its presence on the regional and international arenas, and consolidating its position as a reliable partner and supporter of stability and development.
His Highness stressed that the UAE faces all challenges with competence, confidence and competence, and turns them into promising opportunities to achieve further growth and prosperity. It is also moving forward in consolidating the bonds of positive cooperation and fruitful partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries in a way that serves common interests and contributes to achieving sustainable development in societies.
For their part, the new diplomats expressed their great pride in joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressing their keenness to continue the UAE’s pioneering diplomatic journey with all dedication and sincerity, and to benefit from the opportunities afforded to them by their new duties in order to enable them to perform their duties with high efficiency and achieve the country’s aspirations and future goals, in addition to introducing the UAE’s message and humanitarian values calling for tolerance, coexistence and peace.
