"Islamic Dubai" It announces the establishment of the eclipse prayer tomorrow
Dubai, September 6/ WAM/ The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai announced the establishment of the eclipse prayer in a number of mosques of the emirate tomorrow evening, in conjunction with the rare astronomical phenomenon of the overall eclipse of the moon, which begins at 20:27 and continues until 22:57 local time, where the moon will be completely absent in the shadow of the Earth in a majestic cosmic scene that the state’s residents are pursued.
His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al -Muhairi, Director General of the Department, stressed that the establishment of the eclipse prayer comes within the framework of the department’s keenness to revive the confirmed Sunnah that the Prophet Muhammad commanded us ﷺ, and linking society to the global verses of God that calls for reflection and meditation, noting that the initiative contributes to enhancing religious awareness among members of society, and consolidating the values of faith and reverence.
He explained that the eclipse prayer will be held in a number of mosques in the Emirate of Dubai, stressing that this ritual carries a faith and educational message that reflects the greatness of the Creator, glory be to Him, and reminds Muslims of the necessity of resorting to God Almighty when the cosmic phenomena occur.
The department called on members of the community to visit its website to see the list of mosques in which the eclipse prayer will be held.
