"Baba Hamid" .. a book for children documenting the biography of the governor of Ajman
Ajman, September 6/ WAM/ The Department of Tourism Development in Ajman launched the guidance and care of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, head of the department, and in cooperation with the media office of the Ajman government and a group of words in Sharjah, the book of children “Baba Hamid”, which documents the biography of His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al -Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council, the ruler of Ajman, from its inception and until it received the ruling, as part of a series of publications Emerging in the history and leaders of the UAE.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi stressed that the issuance of “Baba Hamid” falls within the framework of the vision of the emirate aimed at promoting the national culture and consolidating its presence in the conscience of generations, noting that the book represents a leading step in presenting the biography of the governor of Ajman in a simplified narrative style addressed to children.
He said, “We believe that building a person starts from childhood, and hence our care for this cultural work that establishes national values, and makes the march of His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al -Nuaimi an inspiring story that is told for generations, learned by the meaning of leadership, achievement and work for the country.”
His Excellency Mahmoud Al -Hashemi, Director General of the Department, explained that the issuance of the book represents a qualitative addition to deepen the link between the emerging generations and the history and leaders of the Emirates, stressing that “Baba Hamid” constitutes a bridge that connects the child with his national values, and turns the biography into a daily practice of belonging through an interesting story template and a language that loves reading, pointing out that the project embodies the principle of education with an example through a literary mediator.
The book, which was formulated in a simplified anecdotal language accompanied by distinctive drawings, reviews the most important stations in the lives of His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al -Nuaimi, and the achievements that the emirate witnessed during his reign, in addition to the pillars that His Highness adopted in building and developing Ajman’s renaissance.
The version is characterized by its ability to convert these stations into practical values for children such as tireless work, responsibility, respect for time, and pride in the roots, to make the biography live experience with which the small reader interacts.
The book was written by the writer, Sanaa Shabani, while the artist Natalia Abboud undertook the implementation of the drawings that gave the text an interesting visual dimension, helping children to absorb historical events and link them to their daily lives, and also contributed to the preparation of a specialized team from the Department of Tourism Development, as well as specialists from the media office of the Ajman government, which reflects an institutional integration in providing a distinguished cultural product.
“Baba Hamid” is issued in an average size, and in the Arabic language, to form a qualitative addition to the Emirati and Arab child library, and to open in front of the new generations a window from which they overlook the biography of a wise leader, an inspiring development vision, and a rich experience in challenges and achievements, and thus, the publication is not just a book for children, but a cultural educational project that reformulates the relationship between the text and the child and the place, and makes history a story It is narrated, and the values are seen, and from reading a daily space for understanding, fun and growth.
