A father tells the tragedy of his son … from “covering up” to deal with the “death declaration” at an overdose

Between the pain of the loss and the bitterness of the experiment, the Gulf father told the story of his son, who began to fall into the trap of narcotic pills addiction at an early age, and ended his death as a result of an overdose, after desperate attempts to save him with treatment, stressing that he is not looking for sympathy, but rather wants to transfer his experience to others so that they do not suffer from his suffering and his family, whether during the journey of his son’s abuse, or their sorrow after him.

The father revealed that he was subjected to severe shocks in his experience with his son, as he discovered that he was late in abuse, and that he had previously seized during his travel and mother with another son to treat him abroad. He added that his son suffered a traffic accident while accompanying one of his friends, causing severe injuries, and he traveled with him abroad for treatment, and there he discovered something strange, as the anesthesiologist told him that he did not respond to anesthesia, and warned him of the possibility that he was taking drugs, pointing out that he could not examine it officially there because he exceeded the age of 18, and it is not permissible without the approval of the son or the person.

He continued that he started observing him after returning from abroad, until he found tools for abuse, including narcotic needles and grains, so he was confronted with isolation from his brothers, and the son collapsed and came down on his feet, he wanted to kiss them until he forgave him.

And the father continued: “He committed for a while, but rather re -examined high school, and got a good rate, but things did not go as I wished.”

He pointed out that he made another mistake at this stage, which is to cover up him, and try to contain the problem within the family frame, so he prevented him from leaving, and he was completely deprived of money, but he was surprised that the drugs were reaching the house without knowing the source or the way they arrived.

He said that everyone warned that he would inform the police if it was proven that his son was involved in dealing again, and discovered that he had already re -abuse, and that his mother was hidden from him, affected by the emotion of motherhood.

He added, “We thought that the cover would protect it. We wanted to avoid the scandal, but we were unaware of covering up.

He stated that he attached his son to the Erda Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation, but he escaped, and it became difficult to contain and control him, indicating that he turned from Ibn Muhdar Barr to his parents, avoiding even looking at his eyes, to a harsh, selfish, sharp and moody boy, and he did not take time before his death due to abuse.

The father affirmed his keenness to appear and communicate his message, because he feels very sad whenever he passes on the funeral or funeral of a young man who died for the same reason, and he wants to share his experience with every father and mother so that they do not repeat the same mistakes, because the early discovery of abuse, and resorting to the correct channels, specifically the police and the public prosecutor, will save the children.

He advised parents to avoid feeling shame and disgrace when discovering the abuse of one of the children. Fear of society will only lead to the exacerbation of the problem, and the sad tragic ends, such as his condition, as he thought that he could conceal the problem, but the truth is that it is more complicated than the family’s ability to solve or deal with it.

He explained that he is very close to his children, and is keen to accompany them himself and connect them to their schools, but he was forced to rely on other people to take care of his son while he and his wife travel abroad.

He said: “No one can care about children like parents.”

He stressed the importance of the solidarity of the whole society in addressing the problem of addiction, so no one says, “My family and me are safe.”

He stressed the importance of the role of the school, because it is the first incubator, in which children spend long hours that allow monitoring their behavior, and identifying delinquents from students, pointing to his conviction that if he received an early warning, the situation would be different.

He noted the dealings of the Dubai Police and the Public Prosecution with his deceased son and his relatives, and no one felt that we were facing a crime, but a disease and a trial that calls for patience and perseverance until its owner recovers, appealing to the parents who face the same problem to inform the police, the public prosecutor or the competent treatment authorities directly, as the laws exempt from legal accountability, and will be subject to the necessary treatment under supervision and control.
