Angelina Jolie is attacking the international community: Spirits are not equal

In a new humanitarian position, the famous American actress Angelina Jolie, through her official account on “Instagram”, published a series of statements issued by international organizations on the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, and strongly criticized the failure of the international community to move.

Jolie said that “reports warning against famine and children’s death are supposed to have weight and lead to urgent measures,” considering that ignoring her expresses a clear mockery of innocent lives.

She added: “What is happening is not a sudden loss of the moral compass, but rather it is the result of contracts of selectivity in defending human rights. There are lives that are seen as valuable, and others that can be disposed of.”

She emphasized that this approach reflects “chronic international failure” in dealing with crises, noting that the number of forced displaced people has doubled during the last decade, from Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan to Ukraine and Palestine.

“Whether it is by hunger or attacks on hospitals and schools, new and shocking standards are established, making civilians more at risk.”

Jolie concluded her message by holding the international community responsible: “Those who have power to protect international humanitarian law, but they do nothing, bearing part of the crime. What we tolerate today is what will be determined from tomorrow.”
