“Education” participates in the “UNESCO Week for Digital Learning”

The Ministry of Education participated in the “UNESCO Week for Digital Learning”, which was organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in the French capital, Paris, under the title “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education: Transformations, Challenges and Trends”, with the participation of a group of ministers and education leaders in the field of digital education, including academics, researchers, and UNESCO partners, to discuss drawing paths to integrate Artificial intelligence in education.

The Ministry team headed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Eng. Mohamed Al -Qasim, where he confirmed in a speech to him that “UNESCO Digital Learning Week” constitutes a platform for communication, cooperation and coordination between member states, to exchange experiences and visions that contribute to building flexible, comprehensive and high -quality educational systems that respond to the requirements of sustainable and comprehensive development, and achieve hopes and aspirations for future generations.

In his speech during his participation in the activities of the week, he touched on the pre -emptive experience and the forward -looking vision of the UAE in the field of investment in educational technology, which is to develop an integrated strategy for digital transformation, and to employ artificial intelligence in various sectors, including education, to ensure the construction of a generation that is able to future tools and is able to compete in all fields.

He pointed to the practical steps taken by the UAE government in this direction, as it was one of the first countries in the world to create an integrated approach to teaching artificial intelligence, which includes all the academic levels from kindergarten to the 12th grade, based on gradient and integration, and takes into account the privacy of each age stage, reflecting its commitment to consolidating the culture of artificial intelligence is a basic tool in the national educational system.

The main agenda for the digital learning week focused on how to reshape the artificial intelligence of curricula, teaching and evaluation methods, artificial intelligence and the future of students learning, along with some expanded parallel sessions that dealt with curricula issues, inclusiveness, and educational technology design, vocational and technical education, in addition to sessions to discuss the common designs between policies and applications related to platforms Public Learning, Media and Information in the era of artificial intelligence and regional innovation.
