The launch of the 21st edition of the Sharjah Al -Swarid Forum in Cairo

Cairo, September 10/ WAM/ Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the activities of the 21st session of the Sharjah Forum, under the title “Novel and Artificial Intelligence”.
For two days, the forum will discuss four main axes that address the relationship between narration and artificial intelligence from critical and creative aspects, with the participation of more than 60 creators of novelists, storytellers, academics, and critics from Egypt and various Arab countries.
The opening ceremony was held at the Egyptian Opera House in the capital, Cairo, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Owais, Head of the Culture Department in Sharjah, Dr. Ashraf Al -Azazi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Culture in Egypt, and Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Qusayr, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in the department and the director of the Sharjah Narration Forum, along with a group of intellectuals, academics and those interested in narrative arts.
And coincided with the opening an exhibition of cultural publications issued by the Department of Culture in Sharjah, which included a number of specialized magazines such as: Sharjah Cultural Magazine, Al -Rafid magazine, Al -Qawafi magazine, and the theater magazine, in addition to a variety of literary literature.
The exhibition witnessed a wide turnout from visitors, who showed great interest in acquiring these rich publications.
In his speech during the opening, His Excellency Abdullah Al -Owais said, “Today we are celebrating the Sharjah Forum for the Word and Creativity, aware of Sharjah that literature is an aesthetic art, a bridge to communicate, a memory of identity preservation, and a welcoming horizon for dialogue and study.”
Al -Owais stressed the importance of moving the forum between Arab capitals and cities, providing a space in which writers, creators and researchers meet to exchange visions and foresee the future of narration in all its forms.
He pointed out that the convening of the forum in Cairo gives it a distinctive cultural depth, and confirms Sharjah’s endeavor to enhance cultural cooperation with Egypt, based on a firm belief in the value of the sincere word in building thought and formulating awareness.
He expressed his hope that this event will contribute to opening new horizons to joint Arab cultural work, and constitutes an additional step in supporting Arab literature and enhancing its global presence.
Al -Owais appreciated the pioneering role of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in cooperation for the elevation of Arab culture, stressing that this cooperation resulted in the organization of multiple literary and cultural events, which reflects the leadership of the leadership in the two countries to consolidate the active presence of writers, poets and critics in the Arab cultural scene, which reflects the depth of historical relations between the UAE and Egypt.
For his part, Dr. Ashraf Al -Azazi emphasized that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah is the first supporter of culture and literature, and the owner of an informed cultural vision that was established for an Arab and international cultural project .. He said, “Egypt is always happy to host Sharjah, to open together their arms for every intellectual, artist and writer throughout the Arab world.”
Al -Azazi added that the forum brings together an elite group of Arab writers, creators and researchers, in a cultural demonstration that is not just a literary effectiveness, but rather a platform for dialogue and exchange of visions, and an opportunity to document the human participant reflected by narration arts in its various schools and manifestations.
The first day of the forum witnessed the convening of three sessions that discussed the topic of “the novel between human imagination and artificial intelligence”, while the events concluded with literary certificates presented by a number of participating writers, during which they reviewed their creative experiences, their intellectual paths, the challenges they faced, and the ways they adopted in developing their literary works.
