Abu Dhabi Chess Player: Professionalism in Romania is a qualitative shift in my career

Abu Dhabi, September 11 / WAM / International Professor Imran Al -Hosani, the national team of our national team and the Abu Dhabi Chess Club, opens his professional career with the Romanian CS Pionii Regelui Club, in the domestic league competitions on September 22.
Al -Hosani, 22, said that he has played gradual stages of preparation with Ukrainian Adam Takhayev, the club coach, in addition to participating in local international championships during the last stage, in preparation for participation as a professional player in the Romanian Chess League.
He added that the experience is a qualitative shift in his career as well as for the Emirati chess, and opens the door to similar experiences for the UAE players and players in the next stage, given the significant impact of this step in upgrading competitive capabilities, leading to participation in many of the upcoming international championships, most notably the World Chess Olympics in Abu Dhabi in 2028.
He stressed that his distinguished participation in several Romania championships during the last period paved the way for his professionalism.
It is noteworthy that Al -Hosani’s march with our national team and the Abu Dhabi Chess Club witnessed its victory by about 20 gold medals, in various competitions locally, Arab and Asian, during which he achieved many titles, most notably the Cup of His Highness the President of the State in 2022, the Emirates Men’s Championship in 2019, the Arab Championship in 2019, and the West Asian Championship in 2017.
