Mansour bin Zayed adopts 74 economic activities that can be practiced on agricultural lands

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Bureau, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety, issued Resolution No. (5) of 2025, which provides for amending some provisions of Resolution No. (3) of 2023 regarding the practice of economic activities on farms.

The decision stipulated in Article (2), provided that 74 economic activities are added to the list of economic activities allowed to be practiced on farms, bringing the total of 145 accredited economic activities allowed to be practiced on farms.

The new economic activities group allowed to be practiced on farms is located within six categories, where the decision added 41 plant production activities, nine support activities for plant production activities, eight supportive food activities, 12 supportive industrial activities, activities within the category of supportive activities, and activities within the category of entertainment activities.

The decision in Article (1) stipulated the following: Article 2 of Article (5) in Resolution No. 3 of 2023 regarding the practice of economic activities in the farms, with the following text: “The construction space used in the practice of economic activities should not exceed the prescribed area of ​​the competent authority in the emirate.”

Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al -Amri, said that the decision comes within the framework of the efforts of the Economic Activities Committee in the farms, which was formed under the direction of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and includes in its membership the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, the Municipalities and Transport Department, and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
