Doha, September 15 / WAM / on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, presided over His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and head of the Presidential Bureau, the delegation of the UAE in the work of the extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States and the emergency Arab Islamic summit that opened their work today, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sister State of Qatar.
Al -Qamat was held to discuss the Israeli attack on the Qatari lands, with the participation of a number of leaders of the Gulf, Arab and Islamic countries, heads of government, representatives, and Arab and Islamic organizations.
The state’s delegation included both Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al -Murr, Minister of State, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, His Excellency Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, and His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al -Hajri, Minister of State.
In a speech that was distributed during the emergency Arab -Islamic summit, the UAE reaffirmed its full standing alongside the sisterly State of Qatar in the face of the treacherous Israeli attack on its territory and in all its measures to protect its security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing the importance of adhering to the centrality of international law and respecting the sovereignty of states as a way to deter Israel and bring peace, and also stressed that the sisterly state of Qatar does not stand alone Our unified voice today should make a change.
She emphasized that the region today is going through a dangerous stage and battle from instability and accelerating changes that require more coordination and cooperation between our countries to maintain the stability and security of the region and achieve development and prosperity for our countries and peoples.
She said: As everyone watched the brutal bombardment of the Qatari capital, Doha, by Israel on the ninth of September, which constitutes a blatant aggression and violation of international law, including the United Nations covenants, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the League of Arab States, and a serious violation of the sovereignty of an Islamic and Arab state and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional and international peace and security in the region, the UAE, and the moment of this travel attack, She condemned him in the strongest terms, considering him an irresponsible escalation, and expressed its full solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar, leadership and people, and sincerely its condolences for the martyrdom of one of the employees of the Internal Security Force as a result of the brutal Israeli attack.
The state stressed that this reckless escalation by Israel and the accompanying threats to include the Palestinian land and the attack on neighboring countries, undermines the endeavors of sustainable peace and regional stability, and increases the cycle of violence, extremism and chaos, at a time when the region is most in need of a ceasefire and dialogue and reducing the escalation.
The UAE called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to deter Israel and stop these barbaric Israeli attacks, stressing that the continuation of this aggressive approach reflects an overwhelming behavior that will push the region towards more tension and escalation, and undermine the chances of achieving security and stability, and also warned that continuing in such random attacks, in the absence of a deterrent and decisive international position, will have called for him A very dangerous implications for regional and international security and peace, and devotes a reality that cannot be tolerated or accepted.
In its speech, the state emphasized that the security of the Arab Gulf states is indivisible, and we stand in heart and mold with the sisterly state of Qatar, and said, “May God protect Qatar with leadership and people, and to preserve the Arab Gulf states.”
In conclusion, the UAE expressed its thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by all efforts to prepare for this important summit, expressing its aspiration to overcome the circumstances and challenges the region is going through, stopping the escalation and calming the situation in order to prevail in security, peace and stability for all.
