A strategic partnership between the American Dubai and the College of Pennsylvania Medicine to establish a medical school in the Emirates

Dubai, September 16/WAM/The American University of Dubai announced the establishment of a leading faculty in the UAE in a strategic partnership with the Perman Medicine College at the University of Pennsylvania, the first medical school and an educational hospital in the United States.

This came during a meeting that brought together Dr. Jari Jameson, President of Pennsylvania University, Dr. Kyle Long, President of the American University in Dubai, His Excellency Elias Bouasab, Vice President of the University, Dr. Glen Goulton, Deputy Dean and Director of the World Health Center at the Pennsylvania College, as well as a group of representatives of government and academic agencies and health care sector partners including hospitals, medical institutions and health technology companies.

The New Medical College at the American University of Dubai will present the MD Medicine Program, which combines advanced American educational practices and the needs of the health care sector in the UAE, making it a leading center for medical education, research and innovation by integrating advanced clinical training in academic education and qualifying doctors who are able to provide distinguished health care locally and internationally.

Dr. Jari Jameson stressed that cooperation contributes to the establishment of the first leading medical academic institution in the Emirates and enhances the world rankings of the American University in Dubai and the position of Pennsylvania International.

For his part, Dr. Kyle Long explained that the new college will work to prepare a new generation of doctors, enhance scientific research and support the UAE vision in becoming a world leader in the field of health.
