The company stated, in a statement, that the new center will provide training for current and future pilots on the growing carrier of Airbus A350 and Boeing 777X.

The center extends over an area of 63,18 square feet, and includes six devices for full airline simulations, and is located in a strategic location near other training facilities for Emirates Airlines in Dubai, to be part of an integrated work environment that supports the professional and personal development of employees.

“The new pilots training center plays a pivotal role in the aviation industry system, and it supports Dubai’s ambitions as a global airline center,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the CEO of Emirates Airlines and the group.

His Highness added: “This center represents a qualitative shift in air training, and it is one of the most advanced in the world, and training programs were designed for our future fleet, and we are happy that the pilots and trainers have expressed their complete satisfaction, and they praised the quality of the provided training, which is the fruit of our efforts and an affirmation of the value of our investments amounting to 500 million dirhams.”

The Emirates Airlines pilots have an opportunity to benefit from the new center, as the flight simulations are equipped with the innovative “pilot support station”, the first of its kind at the industry level, and the entire developed internally, to enhance the training experience, and before the start of the training session, the pilots can prepare the cockpit, and build the flight plan within a complete interactive environment using custom devices, which reduces the preparation time, and allows them to fully focus during training, as well The sessions are fully recorded, and the trainer can return any part of it to review performance and enhance learning.

The center is also characterized by advanced 3D printing capabilities, allowing the manufacture of complex pieces and structures to support training equipment, which contributes to achieving savings of one million dirhams annually.

The center began training the pilots using the complete simulations of “A350” aircraft, with plans to add four other simulations, during the next two years, including “Boeing 777X” simulations.

Each simulator provides 7500 training hours for about 1000 pilots annually, and when the six sites are operated, pilots will have access to 17 training simulations, including 11 simulation devices for Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, and in all training facilities the training capacity of Emirates Airlines will increase by 54%, to provide 130 thousand training hours annually.

The first full simulation device of the Airbus A350 aircraft obtained the “level D” classification from the European Aviation Safety Agency, which is the highest classification of this type, and the first global simulation device was to enter the service according to the “Airbus A350 Standard 1.3” standard, achieving accreditation without any notes, which is a rare achievement.
