"Million poet" It concludes the 4 -year arbitration round in Muscat
Muscat, September 17 / WAM / The “Poet of the Million” program, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, concluded the fourth round of the arbitration in the Sultanate of Oman.
The jury conducted interviews with poets through direct visual communication technology from Muscat, to choose the stars of the twelfth season under the slogan “Our Poem One”.
The fourth station witnessed a remarkable turnout, as the committee met about 80 poets, including 3 poets who presented texts that diversified their purposes and poetry methods, and revealed new poetic energies.
Dr. Sultan Al -Amimi, a member of the jury, affirmed the specificity of the Omani experience and the diversity that was distinguished in the dialects and poetic purposes, pointing out that mountainous, coastal, Bedouin and agricultural environments in the Sultanate were clearly reflected in the texts presented.
He praised the presence of Omani poets and their imprint in the program, pointing out that some of them reached advanced stages in the past seasons, and expected this distinguished presence this season.
For his part, the poet Hamad Al -Saeed described the Muscat station in Al -Farida, stressing that the use of visual communication techniques allowed the committee to reach poets in countries where the tours are not held and praised the strength of the texts and the great demand for participation from the poets of the Sultanate.
The program is preparing to move to its closing station in Abu Dhabi from 22 to 24 September this year at Al -Raha Beach Theater, after rounds that included Riyadh, Kuwait, Amman and Muscat, to complete the journey of searching for Nabati poetry stars in its twelfth season.
The “Poet of the Million” is the most prominent platform for Nabati poetry at the level of the Arab world and its contributions since its inception in establishing the position of this art and enhancing its presence in the cultural scene, universal of millions of followers from different countries through a high poetic competition that combines originality and creativity.
