A program to qualify 500 citizens to manage the construction projects of citizens

The Director General of Dubai Municipality, Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, revealed the launch of a pioneering national program in partnership with the New Economy Academy, to rehabilitate and license 500 citizens during five years to become experts in managing the construction projects of citizens.

Bin Ghalita explained that the program comes within the efforts to establish the UAE’s position as a leading global destination in the field of construction and entrepreneurship, noting that the construction market in the country is a promising market and requires investment in national competencies, whether from young people or from retired experience.

Investing national competencies
He stressed that the program allows citizens with experience, including retired people, to participate and contribute to supporting citizens who want to build their homes.
“Efficiency is not related to retirement, we believe in the importance of investing all national capabilities in a way that enhances the quality of housing projects and facilitates the citizen’s journey in building his home.”

Specialized training and qualification
The Director General of Dubai Municipality indicated that the program includes specialized training courses for carefully chosen, so that they are equipped with practical and theoretical knowledge necessary to practice the profession of housing projects management with high efficiency.

He added that graduates of the “Project Management Experts” program will obtain an official license that enables them to deal with citizens directly, and to facilitate all construction procedures with the municipality with efficiency, flexibility and speed, in a manner that guarantees a series of smooth experience for citizens at all stages of the project, from design to completion.

Comprehensive support for citizens
Bin Ghalita explained that the program came in response to the needs of citizens who are looking for support and support at the beginning of the journey of building their home. He stressed that the municipality provided a team of citizen experts to accompany the projects owners step by step, and to provide the necessary consultations to ensure the construction of homes according to the highest standards.

He stressed that this initiative represents a strategic step towards enabling national competencies and upgrading the construction sector in the Emirates, in line with the state’s vision in supporting sustainability and the quality of life for citizens.
