The Arab Athletics Federation approves the official program for the men’s and women’s championship

Tunisia, April 5 / WAM / The Arab Athletics Federation announced the official program for the 21st Arab Championship for young men and women in Tunisia, from April 26 to 30, with the participation of teams from 12 countries, including the UAE national team.
Nejib Boukataya, Secretary General of the Tunisian Athletics Federation, confirmed the continuation of preparations in the various committees to host the major event in accordance with international standards to ensure the success of the tournament, and that April 10 is the last date for receiving the final lists of participating delegations.
He revealed that the tournament will begin in the morning on April 26 with competitions in the 5,000 meter walk and 400 meter race for the youth category, and the 100 meter hurdles, 400 meter, and high jump competitions for the young women category, while the evening period will witness the opening ceremony, shot put, long jump, and 800 metre-discus competitions, in addition to the 3,000 and 200 meter races for the young women category, in addition to youth category events in the high jump and push. Shot put, 100, 800, and 3000 meters.
He explained that the edition acquires special importance as a qualifying station for the 2026 World Championship, which requires providing all conditions for success and strict adherence to the standards set by the International Federation, ensuring results consistent with the approved laws, and the completion of all arrangements at the athletics stadium in Radès thanks to modern electronic equipment.
