70 missing after a boat carrying migrants sank in the Mediterranean

More than 70 people were missing and at least two died after a boat carrying migrants capsized in the central Mediterranean, according to what the non-governmental organizations Mediterranean Saving Humans and Sea Watch reported on Sunday.
Mediterranean Saving Humans announced the rescue of 32 people after the sinking of the boat that sailed on Saturday afternoon from Libya with 105 people, including women, men and children, on board.
The organization added, “A tragic drowning accident on Easter. 32 survivors, two bodies were recovered, and more than 70 people are missing,” explaining that the wooden boat capsized in a search and rescue area controlled by the Libyan authorities.
For its part, Sea Watch reported that the survivors were rescued by two commercial ships and disembarked on Sunday morning on the Italian island of Lampedusa.
