Dubai hosts the Social Capital Conference March 2026

Dubai, September 22 / WAM / The University of Heriot-Law Dubai, from 26 to 28 March 2026, hosts the Social Capital Conference in its opening version, organized by the International Social Capital Association for the first time in the region, to bring together a group of the most prominent international thinkers, academics, practitioners and policy makers to explore the vital role of social capital in building flexible and prosperous societies.
The conference aims to establish a new global platform for research and dialogue on social capital issues, exchange the latest scientific ideas and experiences, and to discuss ways to develop relevant policies.
Three major speakers are Professor Robert D. Putnam, Professor of General Policy at Harvard University, Professor Raj Citti, Professor of Economics at Harvard University, Professor Beit Volker, Professor of Sociology at Amsterdam Free University and Scientific Director of the Dutch Institute for Crime and Law enforcement.
His program will include major words, workshops, discussions and shows presented by academics and practitioners from around the world, providing a distinguished opportunity for researchers to present their work and communicate with a group of sociologists, economics, political science and public policies.
Professor Heather McGregor, Dean and Vice-President of Heriot-Lat Dubai University, said that the conference represents a rare opportunity to learn directly from the most influential thinkers in this field, while Professor Putnam stressed that the event constitutes a unique platform to deepen the understanding of the role of confidence and relations in strengthening societies worldwide.
