Dubai Chamber of Commerce reviews ways to enhance the growth of private sector during a meeting "Business groups"

Dubai, September 25/ WAM/ Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three rooms operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, organized its third semester meeting of 2025 with representatives of groups and business councils under its umbrella.
During the meeting, the Chamber reviewed the most prominent new initiatives and programs aimed at stimulating the business environment in the emirate, supporting the growth of companies in various sectors, as well as discussing the legislative and organizational priorities for the next stage, and reviewing ways to expand the prospects of partnership and cooperation with the relevant government agencies.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of the mechanisms for developing the performance of groups and business councils, and expanding the scope of their impact on the formulation of economic policies and legislation, in addition to highlighting the successes achieved during the first half of the year, reflecting the continuous progress towards a more competitive and flexible business environment.
During the first half of this year 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with business groups, reviewed 27 laws and a draft law, with a ratio of accreditation for the recommendations of the private sector of 60%, compared to 46% during the first half of the year 2024, while 98 meetings were held with groups and business councils, an increase of 104% compared to the same period last year. During the first half, the Chamber established 5 new business councils representing the nationalities of investors from Brazil, Slovakia, Peru, Indonesia and Hungary.
Maha Al -Qarqawi, Vice -President of the Business Society Support Sector in Dubai Chamber, said: Business groups and councils continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the competitiveness of companies and enhancing the business environment in Dubai, and we are keen through these quarterly meetings to consolidate an effective partnership with the private sector, allowing it to contribute to the formulation of policies and the development of initiatives that support economic growth and establish Dubai’s position as a global business center.
The meeting included members of the groups and councils supervised by the Chamber, who represent a wide range of private sector companies in the business community in Dubai, including business groups representing various economic sectors, and business councils that represent the nationalities of investors.
The groups and councils include the representation of various sectors and nationalities, and represents a bridge linking the business community and the main government agencies.
