“The Women’s Union” launches the first official job of productive families in the world

Today, the General Women’s Union announced the launch of the first official job of its kind in the world for productive families, with a fixed monthly salary and integrated job privileges, in a leading step that reflects the vision of “Mother of the Emirates 50:50” that extends for the year 2075, which aims to enhance the role of women and enable them economically and socially.
This came during the activities of the “Creativity Path for Employment and Training” exhibition in its second edition that started today in Al Ain.
This announcement is a practical translation of the “50:50” vision launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Federation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, which aims to enhance the participation of Emirati women in various areas of development.
According to this qualitative initiative, the General Women’s Union gives the productive families the status of the “official employee”, with a monthly salary, in addition to a percentage of the net returns achieved from the sale of products that are delivered to the Federation’s Heritage and Craft Heritage Center.
The female employees are also registered in the Abu Dhabi pension fund, ensuring a more stable insurance umbrella and future.
The employee affiliated with the program adheres to the production and delivery of a specific number of products weekly according to the agreed criteria, without the need to adhere to daily working hours or attend the workplace, which provides integrated flexibility that accompanies the nature of family and creative work.
Noura Al -Suwaidi, the Secretary -General of the General Women’s Union, stressed that the launch of the first official job for the productive families in the world reflects the confidence of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, deep with the capabilities of Emirati women, and translates her continuous directives to enable them economically and socially.
She pointed out that this initiative is not limited to providing a fixed income for families, but rather opens up new horizons for it to contribute to the active in the national economy in an institutional and sustainable manner.
For her part, Eng. Ghalia Ali Al -Mannai, Head of Strategic and Development Affairs in the General Women’s Federation, explained that the new recruitment mechanism gives productive families a flexible framework to work from within their homes, with complete professional and human rights guarantees, including registration in the pension fund, and that granting them a percentage of returns enhances incentive and enshrines the quality of production, which enhances the sustainability and competitiveness of heritage crafts in the markets.
The launch of the first official job of productive families in the world is a qualitative shift in supporting the home and creative economy, and the integration of productive families in the national economy cycle in an institutional way and sustainable, under the umbrella of social protection and a long -term strategic vision.
The exhibition of the “Creativity Path for Employment and Training” program represents a leading national platform to support national creativity and enhance sustainable employment opportunities, in line with the strategic directions of the UAE in empowering women and activating their role in the creative economy.
The exhibition witnessed the announcement of the new opportunities offered by the “Creativity Path for Employment and Training” program, aimed at supporting citizens looking for work in cultural and creative specializations, by employing or training them in the private sector, according to the agreement concluded with the Council of Competitiveness of the Emirati cadres “Nafs”.
