Emirates Media Council warns against using artificial intelligence techniques in spreading misleading information, or broadcasting hate letters

Abu Dhabi, September 25/ WAM/ The Emirates Media Council affirmed that the employment of artificial intelligence techniques or any of the modern technical means in representing national symbols or public figures without obtaining prior official approval is an explicit legal violation of media content standards.

The Council warned that the use of artificial intelligence techniques in spreading misleading information, broadcasting hate speeches, defaming others, or diminishing their dignity and reputation, or undermining the values ​​and principles of society, is considered one of the media violations, in which the provisions of the list of media violations, including fines and administrative penalties, will be applied.

The Council called on all social media users, media institutions, and content makers to completely adhere to the approved laws and standards, and to show professional and moral responsibility.
