The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi continues to consolidate its position as one of the most prominent cultural and religious attractions, through its integrated tourism experience that combines the aesthetics of Islamic architecture, cultural content, and various services that meet the aspirations of visitors from around the world.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has become a major destination for large figures and tourists from around the world, and a meeting place for various cultures, as it annually attracts about 7 million guests, visitors from outside the country constitute 82% of the total guests.

Dr. Youssef Al -Obaidli, Director General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center, stressed in a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Tourism, which falls on September 27 of each year .. that the mosque represents a distinguished model for sustainable cultural tourism in the UAE, saying: We are keen in the center to provide an integrated cultural experience that combines the aesthetics of Islamic architecture and the wealthy cultural content, taking into account the environmental, social and cultural dimension, in line with the state’s directions towards sustainable tourism as well We are working to enhance awareness of Islamic heritage and present it in a contemporary style that keeps pace with the aspirations of various categories, “pointing out that the global achievements achieved by the mosque year after a year reflecting its success in combining originality and innovation.

The number of guests of the mosque reached 4,346,831 guests in the first half of this year, achieving an initiative of 5% from what the number of guests was in the first half of last year, which contributed to the high rate of the visitor’s stay in the mosque’s rehab from two hours to four hours on average.

This increase is due to the diversity of cultural and cognitive experiences provided by the center, most notably the “Secret” experience that provides 24 -hour rounds, dedicated to travelers in transit or for those who do not have the opportunity to visit in official times, and the “guide” device that provides virtual tours in 14 languages ​​using virtual reality technologies with support for the categories of people with blind people and deafness, with the aim of communicating the civilized message to the mosque, The calling for tolerance, as well as “hidden glimpses of the mosque” that allow visitors to explore architectural and cultural details through prepared electric cars.

The center enriches the experience of its guests through more than 5,400 cultural rounds annually provided in several languages, including Arabic, English, French, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and others, in addition to signal tours, under the supervision of qualified national cadres that reflect the civilizational face of the UAE.

The center also continues to consolidate its role as a global station for cultural dialogue in the “Dome of Peace”, which hosts the unique “Noor and Peace” museum, which includes interactive shows that simulate the atmosphere of the three holy mosques, and rare holdings such as the Holy Kaaba belt, the Blue Quran and Andalusian Astrlab.

The museum provides a varied cultural content targeting various groups, from researchers and those interested in art and science, to children who were devoted to a special section, along with the “interactive light experience”, an interactive experience that constitutes an integral part of the “Nour and Peace” museum, mixing art and technology, and its mission is inspired by the originality of Emirati values.

The experiment constitutes a qualitative addition to the group of cultural experiences embraced by the center, and is presented in a visual narrative style that activates the multiple senses, and adopts the technology of the circular display at an angle of 360 degrees, to transfer the visitor on a captivating sensory journey through light, sound and touch effects, including simulating nature elements such as wind, light and sound in attractive scenes.

The “Dome of Peace” also includes the mosque library, the cultural theater, permanent and temporary exhibitions, the mosque market, with its restaurants and stores that are suitable for different age groups, and the “Berri Al -Jami” mast.

It is noteworthy that the mosque occupies an exceptional position on the map of global tourism. During the current year, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque ranked eighth in the “Trip Adviezer 2025” list of the most prominent tourist attractions in the world, ahead of its classification in 2024, and also maintained the first rank in the Middle East.
