The UAE leads the target markets for Egyptian engineering exports in 2025
Cairo, September 28/ WAM/ The UAE topped the target markets for Egyptian engineering exports during the year 2025 in light of the continued growth of this important sector in Egypt.
This was announced by the Export Council for Engineering Industries of the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry and revealed the increase in the sector’s exports by 12% during the period from January to August of the current world to record $ 4.187 billion compared to 3.746 billion dollars during the same period in 2024.
Mai Helmy, CEO of the Council, confirmed in today’s statements that the targeted markets witnessed a remarkable expansion, noting that clear increases in the volume of Egyptian exports to Europe, Asia, Africa and America alongside the Arab markets, led by the United Arab Emirates.
For his part, Eng. Sherif Al -Sayyad, head of the Export Council for Engineering Industries, said that this growth reflects the sector’s ability to enhance its competitiveness in foreign markets despite the global challenges, noting that the current levels are the highest in the history of the sector in 8 months, which supports expectations by reaching 6 billion dollars at the end of 2025.
It is noteworthy that the “Export Council for Engineering Industries” was established in Egypt in 1997 with the aim of supporting and developing the sector’s exports and enhancing its presence in global markets.
