Closing of the Shotgun Championship competitions "soil" Within the 14th edition of the annual shooting competition

ABU DHABI, 12 JANUARY / WAM / The competitions of the “Trap” Shotgun Championship, which is held within the activities of the fourteenth edition of the annual shooting competition, and organized by the organizing committee of the competition currently held at the Al Reef Shooting Range in Abu Dhabi, concluded yesterday, amid a large turnout and high technical levels, which reflected the advanced status that the championship enjoys at the level of shooting sports in the country.
The tournament witnessed the participation of a number of players in the professional category representing the elite and best shooters, including players who had previously represented the national team in regional and international tournaments, where 6 shooters qualified for the final rounds.
The results of the Trap Shotgun Championship resulted in Sheikh Mohammed bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum winning first place, achieving 42 points out of 50, while Dhaher Al-Ariani came in second place with 38 points, and Mishal Al-Bannai came in third place after collecting 30 points.
On a related note, the Para Trap Championship competitions for people of determination were also concluded, with shooter Ahmed Buhleba taking first place with 38 points, while Mohammed Al Hashemi came in second with 33 points, and Mohammed Al Habsi came in third place after collecting 26 points.
The Al-Rif Shotgun Shooting Range in Al-Reef is considered one of the model fields at the state level, as it has been equipped with advanced technical capabilities and modern tools that meet the requirements of the Trap Shooting Championships according to the highest standards, including advanced dish launching systems and precise equipment for shooting paths, in addition to applying the highest standards of safety and technical quality.
The field also features an integrated environment for training and competition, supported by advanced technical equipment and organizational services, which contributed to raising the readiness of shooters and made it a preferred destination for hosting official tournaments and training gatherings.
The organizing committee said that it gave the participants, over two days, 125 bullets for each shooter for training, as part of its keenness to provide the best technical and preparatory conditions before participating in the official competitions.
For his part, His Excellency Hassan Yousef Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Shotgun Committee at the Al-Reef Shooting Club, confirmed that the “Trap” Shotgun Championship witnessed a large turnout and qualitative participation, pointing out that the presence of shooters at a high technical level, including those who had previously represented the national team, contributed to raising the overall level of the tournament, appreciating the great cooperation and discipline on the part of the shooters, which helped in the success of the competitions and the implementation of its program smoothly and accurately.
He added that the tournament will continue, as the amateur and women’s shooting championship competitions will begin today, as part of an integrated program aimed at expanding the participation base, supporting various groups, and enhancing the presence of shooting sports at the local level.
The organization of the tournament comes within a vision aimed at supporting specialized sports, consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination in hosting specific sports tournaments, and preparing sports cadres capable of representing the country in regional and international forums.
