المملكة: 43 million trips via passenger transportation applications during the fourth quarter of 2025

Declared The General Authority for Transport, today, through a quarterly statistical bulletin, revealed that the number of trips registered via Passenger transportation applications in the Kingdom amounted to more than 43 million trips during the fourth quarter of 2025, an increase of 54.26% compared to the same quarter of last year.
These indicators reflect the high level of individuals’ dependence on passenger transportation applications, as one of the approved means of transportation within cities, in light of the expanding scope of their use in various regions of the Kingdom, and the advanced and highly efficient services they provide.
Riyadh leads
At the level of the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the authority explained that Riyadh topped the highest percentage in the number of trips carried out, recording a percentage of 44.56% of the total trips, while Mecca was next with a rate of 21.89%, followed by Al-Sharqiyah with a rate of 14.20%, and Medina ranked next with a rate of 5.94%, then Asir with a rate of 3.20%.
Al-Qassim recorded a percentage of the number of trips amounting to 2.95%, followed by Tabuk with a rate of 2.39%, then Hail with a rate of 1.83%, and Jazan with a rate of 1.24%. Next, Najran had a rate of 0.67%, then Al-Jawf with a rate of 0.57%, the Northern Borders with a rate of 0.32%, and finally Al-Baha with a rate of 0.23%.
It is noteworthy that the Authority is working to improve and raise the level of the quality of service provided, through passenger transport applications, in a way that ensures the provision of efficient and reliable transport services that meet the needs and aspirations of beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom.
