Korea exports growth by 12.7% during September
Seoul on October 1 / WAM / The exports of the Republic of Korea jumped by 12.7% on an annual basis during the month of September, thanks to the strong demand for semiconductors, to record its highest level ever for the first time in 3 and a half years, according to the data of the Ministry of Trade and Industry issued today “Wednesday”.
The Korean “Yonhap” news agency reported that the value of exports amounted to 65.95 billion US dollars during the past month, according to the ministry’s data, which is the highest level ever after the previous record that was recorded in March 2022.
She added that exports recorded an annual basis for the fourth month in a row.
During the third quarter, exports increased by 6.6% on an annual basis to reach 185.03 billion dollars, bypassing the $ 180 billion barrier and a new record, according to data, and imports decreased by 8.2% on an annual basis to reach 56.4 billion dollars, which led to a trade surplus of $ 5.64 billion.
