“Dubai Electricity and Water” and “Enok” are cooperating to expand the network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority signed a contract with the Enok Group to expand the network of rapid charging stations for electric vehicles in the “Enok” stations deployed in the Emirate of Dubai, which enhances the stations infrastructure and keeps pace with accelerated growth in the number of electric vehicles.

In the presence of Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Hussein Sultan Lootah, Acting CEO of ENOC Group, the contract was signed by Eng. Walid bin Salman, Executive Vice President of the Business and Excellence Development Sector in the Authority, and Engineer Zaid Abdul Rahman Al -Qafidi, Executive Director of the retail sector in Enok, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides, during the activities of the twenty -seventh session of the water technology exhibition The Energy and Environment (Witix 2025), organized by the authority from September 30 to October 2 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer said: “In cooperation with our partners from the government and private sectors, we are working to enhance the green movement in Dubai by creating and developing an integrated infrastructure for charging electric vehicles in a way that contributes to reducing carbon emissions and achieving the goals of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and the carbon neutrality strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai and the green movement strategy in Dubai. The signing of this contract comes with ENOC within the framework of an initiative The green charger for the electric vehicles that we launched in 2014, to support growth in the numbers of electric vehicles.
