The Syrian director, Rasha Sharbatji, started filming the events of the series “The City of the City”, which is scheduled to be shown in the Ramadan dramatic season 2026, written by, scenario and dialogue: Ali Wajih, and Saif Reda Hamid. The series is starring a group of Syrian drama stars, including: Amal Arafa, Maxim Khalil, Walaa Azzam, Muhammad Hadaki, Fadi Sobeih, Khaled Al -Qish, Yamen Al -Hijali, and Inspiring Bishr. The “city’s kitchen” highlights the middle class, and the pressure and suffering it goes through, in light of the economic and social transformations, as well as eating the world of beggars from a dramatic humanitarian angle, where the series is depicted in separate neighborhoods in the Syrian capital, Damascus. The series also reviews the social and human repercussions, which the Syrians have gone through during the past fourteen years, and the extent of its impact on the disintegration of relations even between the brothers.
