The United Nations condemns the terrorist attack on a Jewish synagogue in the United Kingdom

In a statement issued by his spokesman, the Secretary -General of the United Nations said that the places of worship are holy places that people resort to in search of peace. Secretary -General Antonio Guterres offered his deepest condolences to the victims and their families and expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

Guterres expressed his solidarity with the Jewish community, and called for the presentation of those responsible for this terrorist attack to justice.

The Secretary -General expressed great concern about the escalation of anti -Semitism around the world and stressed the urgent need to face hatred and intolerance in all their forms.
