"Civil aviation" Granted "Dubai Air Navigation Services" The first certificate for the aerial service provider for drones

Dubai, October 3/ WAM/ The General Authority of Civil Aviation granted the first certificate for the airfield services provided for drones for the Dubai Air Navigation Corporation, within the framework of the authority’s efforts to regulate the drone sector and provide the legislative and regulatory structure supporting his growth.
During the month of March, the authority issued the first national regulation in the region to approve the providers of air navigation services for drones, and this certificate comes as the first practical application for this regulation, to reflect the readiness of the organizational and operational structure of the UAE to support the operation of drones safely.
His Excellency Saif Muhammad Al -Suwaidi, Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, said that this step represents a practical application of the National Done Aircraft List, and confirms the authority’s commitment to provide a clear organizational framework that guarantees safety and operation efficiency, and contributes to the development of the drone sector in line with international best practices.
He praised the commitment of the Dubai Air Navigation Services and its technical skills during the accurate accreditation process, explaining that this achievement is a solid basis for the application of the services of the airspace for the future aircraft in the country.
For his part, Ibrahim Al Ahly, CEO of the Dubai Air Navigation Services, said that this achievement is not limited to air navigation services in Dubai, but also includes the entire Emirati aviation system.
He expressed the Foundation’s pride to be part of the promotion of the merger of drones safely, through close cooperation with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the Foundation’s partners to ensure Dubai’s readiness for the future of smart air mobility.
To enable the practical application of the regulation, Dubai Air Navigation Services Corporation, in cooperation with the Dubai Engineering Projects Foundation, and the “Anra Technologies” company, has developed a platform for airport air traffic management in the air.
This platform will allow the issuance of immediate approvals for drone flights, and to integrate radar, weather and air notifications, while enhancing the capabilities of detecting and avoiding conflicts, as well as expanding in the future towards urban air mobility applications.
The process of granting the certificate included close coordination between the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the Air Navigation Services Corporation in Dubai, and comprehensive evaluation of the readiness of operations, the verification of the regulations, and the guarantee of compatibility with international best practices.
This process also reflects an advanced level of inter -operation, pre -emptive organizational ability, and the maturity of digital infrastructure within the aviation system in the UAE.
The certificate and the launch of the U-SPACE aircraft platform for the application of the “U-SPACE” aircraft system, allowing the establishment of safe and effective air corridors, and contributes to strengthening the UAE model in integrating these aircraft into the aviation system in an organized and safe way.
