Shamma Bint Muhammad: Historical knowledge is the basis of building a homeland that cherishes its originality and makes its future

Al -Ain, October 4/ WAM/ Sheikha, Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khaled Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, confirmed that strong historical knowledge is the basis for building a future awareness capable of making an advanced and modern homeland that cherishes its cultural heritage and its originality.
This came during her visit to the Union Museum in Dubai, based on the interest in the national history of the UAE, where she was briefed from the museum officials on the various components that list the stations of national history through advanced interactive methods that contribute to the consolidation of historical information in a modern and attractive manner.
The tour included the museum’s facilities and sections, which included the signing hall, which witnessed on December 2, 1971, the historical announcement ceremony for the establishment of the state and the “Palace of Hospitality”, which hosted the meetings and consultations during the founding stage, and “Al -Raya Square” where the Emirates flag was raised for the first time after the signing of the Federation Document.
Sheikha, Dr. Shamma, valued the efforts of the museum’s team in collecting holdings and documenting historical accounts, and their pivotal role in preserving national memory and protecting the Emirati heritage, expressing her appreciation of what the library contains an important knowledge balance that is an essential reference for researchers, students and those interested in national history.
