Abu Dhabi, 5 June / WAM / Umm Al Emarat Park concluded its season (2025-2026) by welcoming more than 410,000 visitors from more than 80 nationalities, marking a new achievement in its continuing journey as one of the most prominent family and community destinations in Abu Dhabi.
During the season, the park presented a diverse program of cultural, educational and entertainment initiatives and events, in addition to initiatives focused on sustainability, which enhanced its role as a platform for community interaction, family communication, and active participation.
The season also reflected the broader national trends for the Year of Community 2025 and the Year of the Family 2026 in the United Arab Emirates, through programs designed to bring community members together within shared experiences that celebrate culture, well-being, education and environmental responsibility.
One of the most notable achievements of the season is the park’s participation in achieving a world record in the Guinness Book of World Records, in cooperation with the Tadweer Group, by preparing the largest mosaic mural made from recycled plastic bottle caps.
This community initiative brought together 356 participants to create a work of art with an area of 25 square metres, using 24,846 recycled plastic bottle caps, over the course of 18 hours of group work.
This achievement reflects the strength of community action in raising the level of environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices among community members.
Sustainability remained a fundamental pillar of the park’s programs throughout the season by providing five machines to generate water from the air in key locations, which produced more than 76,182 liters of water, which contributed to reducing the use of more than 38,000 plastic bottles and reducing the emission of 3.14 tons of carbon, which supports the park’s commitment to specific environmental initiatives.
The park continued to enhance its educational and interactive role, by offering 110 educational workshops and school trips throughout the season, in which more than 6,000 male and female students participated.
These programs provided interactive educational experiences that focused on nature, sustainability, Emirati culture, and community identity, enhancing the park’s position as an outdoor educational destination that supports schools, families, and students.
The season witnessed the return of the annual Garden Market in its fifth session, with the participation of 172 vendors and exhibitors, including 65 Emirati vendors, continuing its role as a platform that supports entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized Emirati companies, and provides them with opportunities to communicate directly with the community and enhance their presence before a wider audience.
In addition to its economic role, the market contributed to enriching the visitors’ experience through a variety of family activities, live shows, health sessions, and community events that added a vibrant atmosphere throughout the season.
More than 620 free events for the family and community were also hosted as part of the Garden Market activities during this season, emphasizing its role in promoting community events and activities.
Cultural and community programs were one of the most prominent stations of the season, as the Garden Festival, which was held in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation, received more than 21,800 visitors, while the Garden Cinema continued to provide free entertainment in the open air through 99 shows, including 25 shows in cooperation with “Image Nation Abu Dhabi.”
During the month of Ramadan, the park hosted the “Ramadan Garden Nights” event, which allowed visitors to enjoy an iftar experience in a peaceful, natural setting, in cooperation with Emirati chef Maryam Al Mansouri, inspired by the values of Emirati hospitality and traditions passed down through generations.
To complement this community presence throughout the year, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha events attracted more than 12,000 visitors through a diverse program of entertainment, family and cultural activities.
Other initiatives included a series of health and wellness sessions held in the evening garden, providing visitors with opportunities to relax and practice mindful meditation guided by Celestial Charisma.
The season included daily falconry shows in the park, which gave visitors the opportunity to learn about Emirati heritage and Arab traditions through 239 interactive shows with visitors.
Together, these activities contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the UAE, while encouraging the participation of various segments of society.
Community engagement was enhanced through a wide range of community events held throughout the season, including The Cove House, The Rage, Miami Vibes, the Korea Festival organized by the Korean Cultural Centre, and the National Tolerance Festival, which saw the planting of a ghaf tree in the Tolerance Garden to commemorate the garden’s 10th anniversary.
These initiatives reflect the park’s commitment to providing accessible platforms that bring together families, residents, partners and diverse community circles around shared values and experiences.
The season concluded with the “Proud of the Emirates” event, which brought together more than 318 participants in an initiative that celebrated the spirit of community solidarity and national identity through cultural and interactive activities.
The national parade, which was organized in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Athletics Club, attracted more than 300 participants, enhancing the role of Umm Al Emarat Park as an effective platform for community and national participation.
The park also hosted the “One People, One Nation” event in cooperation with the Design Committee – Abu Dhabi, while the “Proud Emirates” initiative received more than 500 participants together, in close cooperation and sponsorship from Slayil Hospitality Company and Wasael Real Estate Management Company.
These various programs and events reflect the growing role of Umm Al Emarat Park as a community and cultural destination that brings together all members of the family and society and provides experiences that enrich the quality of life and enhance interaction between different groups and ages.
Continuing this role throughout the year, Umm Al Emarat Park continues to welcome its visitors throughout the summer through the family “Entry and Entertainment” package, which allows families and groups of four or more the opportunity to enjoy the park’s various experiences.
