Nahyan bin Mubarak attends the Italian National Day celebration in Abu Dhabi


ABU DHABI, 5 JUNE / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the celebration of the Italian National Day by the Embassy of the Italian Republic to the UAE at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of His Excellency Ali Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmad, Assistant Undersecretary for Defense Policy and Communications at the Ministry of Defence, along with a number of senior officials, ambassadors, business leaders and members of the Italian community in the country. He was received by His Excellency Lorenzo Vanara, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the UAE.
The Italian Ambassador praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and his country in all fields.
The concert included a musical performance by the Youth Orchestra and Choir, led by Maestro Aldo Dotto, with the participation of violinist Christian Caiazza from the Emirates National Orchestra as a soloist.
The evening celebrated the appeal of the “Made in Italy” brand through an exceptional display that included the fields of luxury, fashion, jewelry, the automotive sector, design, food and beverage, and advanced technologies.
Italian companies and expertise continue to contribute to shaping the urban, cultural and economic landscape in the UAE, through their clear imprint on prominent architectural landmarks and the hospitality and luxury retail sectors.
Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, was decorated with the colors of the Italian flag to celebrate this occasion, in a scene that embodied the depth of the friendly relations between the two countries.
The UAE is Italy’s largest trading partner in the Middle East, as bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and investment is witnessing continuous growth, including luxury goods, energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, technology, healthcare, aviation, and sustainable development.
Hundreds of Italian companies operate throughout the country, while Emirati investments in Italy are expanding at a growing pace, opening new horizons in the hospitality, real estate and technology sectors.
