Umm Al -Quwain on October 4/ WAM/ The “Umm Al Quwain Council for Youth” plays active roles in providing tools and programs that help young people to launch their entrepreneurial projects, and establish their role as a major partner in the future industry, in line with the strategic directions of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain in strengthening the environment environment and empowering young energies in order to build a competitive economy based on innovation and knowledge.
Since its establishment, the Council launched many qualitative initiatives and plans aimed at investing in young energies such as organizing interactive workshops and dialogue sessions with successful experts and entrepreneurs, allowing young people to benefit from inspiring experiences and experiences, and at the same time, he worked to open direct communication channels with the public and private sectors, enabling young people to obtain support and convert their ideas into leading projects.
The role of the council is integrated with the Umm Al Quwain Chamber and the Businesswomen Council in the emirate, by launching joint initiatives aimed at supporting young people in promising sectors such as trade, services, creative industries and green technology.
These efforts are a pivotal step towards enabling youth projects to reach new markets at the local and regional levels, and to contribute to providing an encouraging investment environment that supports business continuity and growth.
Dr. Ibrahim Saif Bouasiba, Chairman of the Umm Al Quwain Council for Youth, affirmed the council’s endeavor to support and empower young entrepreneurs through a future vision based on creativity and opportunities.
He expressed the council’s keenness on an ongoing basis to organize dialogue sessions and specialized workshops, and host experts and specialists in the fields of entrepreneurship, in a way that contributes to refining the skills of youth, and gives them platforms for communication and exchange of experiences, which enhances the chances of success of their projects, and contributes to building a promising economic environment in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.
He explained that the council’s strategy in the field of entrepreneurship is integrated with the vision of Umm Al -Quwain 2033, by empowering young people to be active elements in building an economy based on innovation and knowledge, by providing a stimulating environment for entrepreneurial ideas, and providing specialized development programs, as well as strengthening partnerships with government and private agencies.
Boussaiba stressed that the council aims to be a link between young people and the economic society, pointing out that the qualitative programs launched by the Council in cooperation with the various governmental institutions in the state have had a wide interaction of young people and formed a platform to support their projects and highlight them in front of the public, in addition to the discussion episodes that contributed to increasing their awareness of the importance of the knowledge economy and consolidating the culture of innovation in the field of business.
In this regard, he referred to the “Pioneers of Industry” program, which came in partnership with Umm Al Quwain Chamber, with the aim of motivating young people to enter the fields of industry and industrial entrepreneurship in a way that enhances their role as a major partner in advancing economic development.
He explained that the lack of awareness of the administrative procedures to establish projects and the weak familiarity with the preparation of economic feasibility studies constitute the most important challenges facing young people, stressing that the council devotes its efforts to providing support and awareness in a way that helps them to overcome these challenges and transform their ideas into projects that can be implemented and development.
He said that partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce, the Businesswomen Council, educational institutions and other governmental institutions represent an essential element in consolidating the entrepreneurial environment, expressing the council to build strong relations with universities and training platforms to design integrated professional programs, which contribute to empowering young academically and professionally in line with the needs of the contemporary economy.
