Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed inspects the Zayed National Museum in the Cultural District of Saadiyat Island

Abu Dhabi, October 6 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, briefed on business developments at the Zayed National Museum in preparation for the official opening of its doors next December in the cultural area of Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
During his visit, His Highness listened to an explanation about the content of the permanent halls that list pivotal stations from the history of the national development march, and the vision of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God bless him”, in building the modern state, and his established values in protecting the environment, empowering human beings, enhancing the values of tolerance, and spreading the principles of civilized dialogue between peoples and supporting the initiatives and projects of work Human and charitable at the regional and global levels.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the Zayed National Museum is a living embodiment of the legacy of the founding father in building bridges of communication between generations by transferring the wisdom of the ancestors from the past to the present as an inspiration that illuminates the paths of future generations towards the future; His Highness stressed that this cultural edifice reflects the priority that the rational leadership attaches to investment in the cultural sector as a tributary of the comprehensive national development process.
His Highness met with a number of national cadres and competencies overseeing the implementation of the project, as His Highness praised their efforts in the success of the launch of this new cultural destination, which constitutes a qualitative addition to the cultural scene in the emirate, and enhances Abu Dhabi’s position as a global center pioneering for cultural and civilizational dialogue.
The museum includes six permanent galleries, a showroom dedicated to temporary exhibitions, and the track park, which is a 600 -meter external exhibition hall, through which the museum tells the story of the UAE land over a period of 300,000 years of civilized and human history.
The museum aims to introduce its visitors the history of the UAE’s land through an interactive journey by combining archaeological artifacts with historical pieces that provide a picture of the oldest evidence of human presence in this region, ways of life in ancient civilizations and prosperity over centuries, and highlight the ties that have arisen and strengthened through trade methods, as well as the unique factors of the Emirates heritage and culture.
On this occasion, His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi said: The Zayed National Museum comes as a translation of the aspirations of the UAE in establishing the role of culture as a pillar of community and knowledge development; It provides an exceptional experience that highlights the history of the ancient UAE and its roots that extend for thousands of years, and reflects the values whose pillars have established the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God bless him.”
His Excellency added: The Zayed National Museum is a national cultural beacon that highlights the originality of the Emirati society, narrates the story of our heritage, embodies the aspiration of our state and our continuous development path, and transmits the UAE’s message to the world in a civilized language that represents an eternal human heritage. Upon opening it, the museum will play a pivotal role as a bridge for dialogue between the UAE and the world, in order to enhance Abu Dhabi’s position as a global capital of art, culture and creativity.
During this visit, His Highness was accompanied by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Muhammad Al Nahyan, Head of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; And His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Head of the National Anti -Narcotics Agency, and the General Supervisor of Police Heritage at the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police; And His Excellency Muhammad Khalifa Al -Mubarak, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi; And His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary -General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Head of the Crown Prince’s office in the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi’s office; And His Excellency Saud Abdulaziz Al -Hosani, Undersecretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi.
