Evoking Saudi history…archaeological reproductions shine in Kuala Lumpur

The Heritage Authority presented it under in International Book 2026 Collection of , to provide visitors with a cognitive experience that evokes the depth of Saudi history and the diversity of civilizations that flourished on the Arabian Peninsula over thousands of years.
The reproductions represent selected examples of historical objects discovered in a number of regions of the Kingdom, including inscriptions, stone writings, and carved pieces dating back to different time periods BC, embodying the historical civilisation, cultural and commercial movement witnessed by the Arabian Peninsula.

The reproductions take visitors on a journey through multiple historical stations, including examples of archaeological writings and inscriptions from the regions of Medina, Tabuk, and the northern borders, as well as decorated stone pieces that embody the ancient arts and inscriptions for which early Arab civilizations were known, highlighting the Kingdom’s position as a meeting place of civilizations and a center for ancient trade routes.
The corner includes the screening of a documentary film about the archaeological city of Al-Faw, which sheds light on its history and status. Civilization, in addition to an interactive digital screen displaying archaeological sites from various regions of the Kingdom.
The display is widely received by those interested in history and heritage, within the framework of the intense Saudi cultural presence led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority during the exhibition’s continuous days until the seventh of this June.
