19 thousand visitors to the dates festival

Sharjah on October 6 / WAM / The Al -Dhamid Center concluded at the Fifth Edition of the Dates Festival 2025, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The festival attracted more than 19 thousand visitors and achieved sales of 1.3 million dirhams.
The bid of dates witnessed the display of about 4 tons of the finest local dates through 32 varieties.
72 exhibitors from the various emirates of the state from dates and palm owners participated in the festival, along with agricultural companies and specialized governmental institutions.
The festival also witnessed the launch of the “Productive Families Market”, which presented a group of heritage products and handicrafts made of palm fronds, in addition to traditional foods and sweets that won the admiration of visitors.
His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Amin Al -Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed that the festival embodies the Chamber’s commitment to support the local agricultural sector and enhance its sustainability.
For his part, Mohamed Musabeh Al -Tunaiji, general coordinator of the festival, pointed out that the event continues to establish its position as one of the most prominent agricultural and heritage events at the state level, pointing out that the inclusion of the “productive families market” in this session constituted a qualitative addition and contributed to the expansion of the beneficiaries base and the promotion of industries related to the palm tree.
