Spain’s Elvira wins the Dubai Invitational Golf Championship

DUBAI, 18 JANUARY / WAM / Spaniard Nacho Elvira was crowned champion of the Dubai Invitational Golf Championship 2026, whose competitions were held on the courts of the Dubai Creek Resort, after maintaining his lead in the overall standings in the final round, and finishing the tournament ahead by three strokes, achieving 10 strokes under par, thus winning his third title on the “DB World” tour.

New Zealander Daniel Hillier came in second place with 9 strokes under par, while third place was shared by Frenchman Julien Guerrier, Spaniard David Puig, Irishman Rory McIlroy, and Shane Lowry, with 8 strokes under par.

The winners were crowned in the presence of His Excellency Major General (M) Abdullah Al Hashemi, President of the Emirates Golf Federation, Abdullah Al Naboodah, Chairman of Al Naboodah Investments, Eric Nicoli, President of the European Tour Group, Issa Sharif Al Marzouqi, Director of Sports Events at the Dubai Sports Council, and Mustafa Al Hashemi, CEO of Wasl Hospitality.
