Dubai, October 7/ WAM/ The National Anti -Doping Agency participates in an official delegation at the Tenth Puppet Anti -Sports Conference “COP10”, which is hosted by UNESCO at its headquarters in the French capital, Paris, from 20 to 22 October, in conjunction with the twentieth anniversary of the entry into force of the International Anti -Doping Convention.
Dr. Mai Ahmed Sultan Al -Jaber, Chairman of the Agency Board of Directors, said in a statement to Emirates News Agency /WAM /that the UAE’s participation in this conference comes as an affirmation of its commitment to applying international standards and promoting global cooperation to protect the integrity of sports competition And the standards, as well as adopting a new action and financing plan for the Doping Population Fund in Sports.
She added that the agency will also participate in the World Anti -Doping Conference, which will be hosted by Busan in the Republic of Korea during the period from the first to the fifth of next December, which will witness the approval of the Global Doping Act for 2027 and the accompanying international standards, in the presence of more than 1500 representatives from various international parties concerned with sports and anti -doping.
She pointed out that the agency will also participate in the first Gulf Anti -Doping Forum, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period from 4 to 5 November, as part of its efforts to enhance the UAE’s active presence in regional and international forums and support joint Gulf cooperation in this field.
Dr. Al -Jaber explained that the agency put it upon itself during the new sports season, implementing a package of qualitative initiatives and programs that aim to enhance early awareness and consolidate the culture of integrity in sports, in line with the national trends in protecting athletes and ensuring a competitive environment free from banned practices.
She emphasized that the agency will launch educational programs during the current season targeting the category of youth and youth within clubs, schools and universities in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Sports Federations, in addition to expanding electronic training programs to ensure the awareness of the awareness message to the various segments of sports society.
She added that the season plan includes the implementation of field awareness campaigns and workshops for coaches, doctors and members of sports teams, as well as digital campaigns through social platforms to spread awareness of the risks of doping and methods of prevention, stressing that the agency is working to raise the efficiency of the field follow -up system through trained teams to be present in the local and international championships hosted by the state, in a way that ensures full commitment to the standards of the International Agency for Combating Antoshetic and enhances and enhances The reputation of the Emirates as a global sports destination.
Dr. Al -Jaber revealed the adoption of the agency for advanced digital systems for the management of examination and sampling processes, and the continuation of cooperation with the International Agency and the federations and laboratories adopted in developing global regulations and legislation, in addition to signing new agreements during the current season with national sports federations and health and educational institutions, and strategic partnerships with regional and international bodies to support scientific research and develop national competencies working in the field of anti -steroids.
